Foetus were and are one of my favorite industrial bands. I've always had a soft spot for music that just sweats controlled chaos and because of this love for all music unhinged, Foetus were one of those "love at first hearing" cases for me. By the time "Flow" had been released, J.G Thirwell (aka Foetus) had been playing with vicious, loud samples throughout the course of many prior recordings and had become quite force within the industrial scene. "Flow" however was them at their absolute peak. They had managed to almost perfect the noise that they'd been spewing out for years. The production on the sample use made the tracks sound absolutely huge with the vocals usual echo to add to the feeling of music that almost felt as if it was closing around you. Getting closer and closer and ready to pounce.

yeah, foetus 12"s were swapped like extra kidneys at my school... perfect covers, perfect records, each one different as hell and always utterly magnificient...
Grateful thanks for the reminder - I'm inspired to dig out something form my old Foetus albums for the next SASR podcast. I'm astonished to discover how much the deleted vinyl albums are now worth - but then quality costs, I guess...
I don't have a band and I live in England so I'm just going to make it a point not to click that link,
Wow, my old Foetus records are worth something? Pity they're all in terrible condition from being played to death when I was 19 and obsessed. Anybody remember Wiseblood, the band he formed with Roli Mosimann of the Young Gods? They made a fearsome noise and were one of the most entertaining live experiences I've had.
Yep, got the Wiseblood vinyl too, no idea of monetary value though. It is an amazing racket. Never saw them live, curses. Actually surprised that albums like Nail got deleted, surely there's a whole new young generation in need of experiencing the industrial hardcore equivalent of Hieronymous Bosch?
