Since Kieran started posting in this blog late last year I've found myself enjoying more and more bands from the underground post-hardcore/screamo/whatever scene that seems to be in full bloom at the moment. One of my recent discoveries has been XBXRX and their Orchid styled violent emoting. I suppose that due to my age and love for the more violent side of music, there's obviously a fair bit of appeal for me in the aggressive, guitar beating, unpredictable noise that XBXRX are incredibly proficient in. I'm not alone in my love for this anger. XBXRX have gained such fans as Sonic Youth and Deerhoof, touring with both at points. They've also caught the attention of highly respected producers such as Steve Albini and Ian Mackaye.
These tracks are taken from XBXRX's most recent LP which has shown the regular keyboard driven noise actually showing some level of growth and maturity
XBXRX - Deaf Ears, Silent Voice
XBXRX - Gold Cross
