"Big Shots" has recently become one of my favorite hip-hop records. The record is a classic example of great hip-hop coming from simple yet creative beats with a talented and witty lyricist as well as the output not being over done by production. For these two young musicians, this record would end up being their unexpected master work. After years of label struggles the two managed to break free from their contract with a Disney run record label and release this LP. Unfortunately the success from "Big Shots" was short lived when Charizma died of a cause not known to me. Peanut Butter Wolf would try to remove himself from music all together but would later find himself once again beat making as a way of dealing with his companions death.
Peanut Butter Wolf has stayed on as a beat maker as well as founding the hip-hop label
Stones Throw and to this day continues to seek out new talent and bring them to a wider audience, just as he did with his partner and best friend.
